What is a mole?
Moles are very common – and though they’re usually completely harmless – they can cause endless irritation. The basic definition of a mole is the growth of cells that contain color pigment. They take on many different shapes and sizes and can be found almost anywhere on the body.
Can it be removed?
Yes, you definitely can remove the unwanted moles. Some people remove it for visual aesthetic purposes, some remove the mole because of the touch of it on smooth skin. Many people endure these bundles of cells for their whole lives, but when the growth begins to affect self-esteem or physical comfort, it’s time to say goodbye.
How to remove a mole? Is it safe?
At Lolachi Institute, Dr. Lolachi has removed thousands of unwanted moles safely and efficiently, and almost always with no scarring. For your comfort, Dr. Lolachi will numb the area before removal. We use two methods to do this and you will discuss which is best for you during your consultation.
1 – Cutting it off. Using surgical scissors or a scalpel to shave the mole off the skin.
2 – Burning. A current is passed through a wire which becomes hot and burns off the upper layers of skin. The heat used helps to prevent bleeding.
Please note that Dr. Lolachi will only remove benign (non-cancerous) moles. Any moles that are show symptoms of being cancerous will be referred to a dermatologist.
