Juvederm is made of hyaluronic acid- the same natural sugar found in our skin, but modified to provide longer-lasting fullness and volume. Hyaluronic acid also helps to attract and retain water, improving the skin’s natural appearance and texture. Radiesse is Calcium Hydroxylapatite (CaHA) microspheres suspended in a gel carrier. Over time, benefits of Radiesse continue as it stimulates your own body to produce its own natural collagen.
How do Derma Fillers work?
All fillers work by plumping, volumizing and lifting the skin, as well as restoring natural definition. They iron out wrinkled and crepey textures on the face, chest and hands, and are particularly effective at targeting stubborn smile and smoker lines. The lasting effect will be a youthful and radiant appearance that matches how well we feel on the inside.
Additionally, fillers add oomph and definition to areas of the face where we have always felt a certain lack. They can volumize and contour thinner lips to create a sexy and natural-looking pout and they will plump up empty cheekbones to give the face added definition.
The dermal fillers that we offer at Lolachi Institute are Juvederm and Radiesse, all of which are free from animal proteins.
During the treatment
Your chosen injectable will be administered in our tranquil spa by Dr Lolachi, board-certified medical doctor and industry-leading wellness expert. The benefits of having a professionally trained doctor carry out the treatment, instead of a nurse or an esthetician, are greater precision and a dramatic reduction in the risk of side-effects.
The treatment should take less than 30 minutes and involves the crystal-clear Juvederm gel, or Radiesse being injected into the skin in tiny amounts with a very fine needle. The area will be gently massaged to move the filler into the chosen area and provide the definition needed.
After the treatment
The effects of Juvederm and Radiesse are visible immediately and depending on the area treated there will either be no down-time, or it will take just a couple of days to settle. The treatment will last between to 9 and 12 months, depending on the filler used. This also depends upon the area treated as well as your skin type and lifestyle.
